Pre Surgical Instructions

  • You must be fasting. Nothing to eat past midnight the night before your procedure or (8 hours
    prior
    ). No food, water, mints, gum, candy, liquids of any sort.

  • You may have CLEAR liquids up to 4 hours prior to your procedure. Black coffee okay WITHOUT
    creamer

    •  If you choose not to get anesthesia and the provider has agreed, you may have a very
      small breakfast.
  • You will need transportation to and from your procedure and your transportation can NOT be
    Uber, Lyft, Taxi etc.

  • Your ride MUST come to the check in office and sign.

    • If you choose to not get anesthesia and the provider has agreed, you still must have transportation.
  • If you wear contacts, please remove and wear glasses.

  • Please do not wear any jewelry day of procedures.

  • If you have asthma and have an inhaler, please bring with you.

  • If you have removal dentures, please bring your own container.

  • You are required to arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

  • You MAY be asked to hold anti coagulation medicines (“blood thinners”).
    Your prescribing physician will be contacted by our providers, and you will be told once we have received clearance from your prescribing physician to hold off your anti coagulation medicines. DONT STOP/HOLD any medicines till your hear from our office. 
    • Examples of such medicines include but not limited to : Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Meloxicam, Motrin, Naproxen, Xarelto, Coumadin, , Plavix, etc. 
  • Tylenol is OKAY to take for pain.

  • No alcohol intake 7 days before your procedure.

  • You should be avoiding any illicit substances anyways. Specifically, no illicit substance like marijuana 7 days prior.

  • You may only take ROUTINE medications like high blood pressure medication, diabetes, etc in the morning with a very small sip of water, the rest of your medications can wait until after your procedure.

  • Please bring your insurance and ID cards, we will collect any payment up front.

  • Please wear comfy clothing.

  • Please let us know at least 24-48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule to avoid a $75 no show fee.

  • Please be aware you will be required to pay a facility fee to Premier Center of Surgical Arts

  • AN RN WILL BE CALLING YOU TO GO OVER SOME PRE-OPERATIVE INFORMATION PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT
